Another important step has been taken in Düzce to increase the power of women in agricultural production. Düzce's second women's agricultural development cooperative, which will operate under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, has been established in Güven Village, located in the central district of Düzce.
The women, comprising 21 founding partners, aim to take an active role in both production and rural development by establishing the SS Düzce Güve Village Women's Agricultural Development Cooperative. The cooperative's establishment aims to increase women's participation in agricultural activities, support local production, and transform women's labor into economic value.
The establishment study, conducted as part of the founding process, was attended by Düzce Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Esra Uzun, Head of Rural Development and Organization Branch Osman Avcı, and technical personnel from the Provincial Directorate. During the study, the cooperative's areas of activity, production potential, and sustainability goals were evaluated.
On the other hand, the SS Düzce Konaklı Village Women's Agricultural Development Cooperative, the first women's agricultural development cooperative in Düzce affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, also took part in this process, sharing their knowledge and experience with the newly established cooperative. This solidarity among women's cooperatives made a significant contribution to strengthening women's entrepreneurship in rural areas.
Provincial Director Esra Uzun stated that the expansion of women's cooperatives makes a significant contribution to both local development and women's employment, and that similar efforts will continue to increase throughout Düzce.
