Who are we?

Together, we will work, produce, sustain, and protect safely.

Cooperatives are powerful tools for women's economic empowerment and social participation. Instead of working alone, women in rural areas can combine their strengths to increase their productivity and income, transforming their lives.
In his work "Symposium," Plato shares the following quote dedicated to those searching for their soulmate:
“Love is born within every human being; it brings together the two halves of our essence; it strives to create one from two and to heal the wound of human nature. Therefore, each of us is a 'harmonious half' of the human whole… and each of us is always searching for the half that suits us.”
We, as the "Together Safe" women, have decided to embark on a long journey with twenty-one women who feel the same way as us, who prefer harmony, beauty, sincerity, solidarity, discovery, curiosity, and creating with confidence, in order to multiply the love within us.

Just like it was written on the Sumerian tablets;

"We will live together."
We will work together.
We, as the fully committed members of the Güven Village Women's Agricultural Development Cooperative, say to each other, "Together we will stand strong."

Our Story

The word "together" symbolizes concepts such as solidarity, acting together, and collaborative work in social life. It is also used to describe people with different viewpoints coming together to achieve a common goal.
According to Professor Dr. Ioanna Kuçuradi, President of the Turkish Philosophy Association, the word "trust" rests on two fundamental elements. The first element is a belief that the person opposite us will not knowingly do something they shouldn't. The second element is our capacity to trust others. I. Kuçuradi describes the feeling of trust with this statement: “To feel trust, a trustworthy person needs to meet someone who can trust them. It's not enough for someone to be trustworthy. It's not enough for someone to be trustworthy. Such an encounter needs to happen, and one shouldn't miss such an encounter. Because sometimes we just pass by.”
We, twenty-one women, decided that our brand "Together Safe" would better reflect us women, not by disregarding differences in language, culture, historical processes, family structures, traditions, customs, beliefs, and worldviews, but rather by recognizing the powerful impact this diversity and difference has on our village life.
Our village and its people, true to their name, have lived together in brotherhood and solidarity for over a century, preserving their historical past and unique character. Furthermore, our village possesses a wealth of cultural and natural diversity, bestowed upon it by its geographical location, including unique flavors, products, trees, birds, waterfalls, rivers, motifs, figures, and countless other features.

Our brand, "Together Safe," was established with the aim of enabling women in Güvenköy, a village in the central district of Düzce Province, to participate actively in social life as productive individuals, and to utilize their agricultural products, handicrafts, creativity, and artistic awareness.
